I was apprehensive revisiting whistle stop with this. It jus missed the mark. I don’t give two hoots about Ruth’s mother in law (buddy (stumps) daughter) i gave it a try at least the first 3rd into the book. It just fell flat. It would’ve been more fun to see more of buddy’s childhood being that it’s suppose to focus on him. I’m really hesitant on sequels for this reason a quick grab for extra money.
