I really wanted to like this book, I really did. Unfortunately, it just really fell flat for me. The majority of the book was just ok and I expected a better build up for a big explosion at the end. I feel like there was way too much emphasis put on Kate's past, while she was away. There were too many details that just filled pages that were completely unnecessary. There was a quick shot of adrenaline at the end, not even enough to get the heart rate up and then it just ended. The plot twist was very predictable and almost an afterthought. Not a single character story was wrapped up and it almost felt like everything was left open for a sequel...not even an epilogue or anything. Very disappointing.
