So I bought this book several years ago because the cover and title looked cool. Never read the blurb on the back, didn't think much of it, just figured it looked interesting and eventually I would get to it.

I didn't get around to it for a long while. Hey, things happen and I have a huge "to read" pile for a reason.

The book was interesting. Decently written black ops psychic story. I liked the main character and the main supporting cast. The villain was relatable but unhinged. The twist towards the end wasn't expected. Which is actually a big deal, I feel I can almost always spot the twist unless nothing was given to show it coming. This book had the information there, I just didn't realize where it was going with it. So props to the author, they did a well done twist.

The characters had a decent amount of depth to them. The bulk of the story takes place over a very short period of time. So though the characters are well rounded I don't feel you see a lot of ongoing development. But still, there is some, and it made me like the characters and relate well to them.

Now this book is part of a series, and eventually I'm going to continue the series. I am interested to see where it goes.
