The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman

This short story is a feminist classic.

I genuinely felt spooked whilst reading it. I'd love to have a whole lecture about all the strings a femininst reading would pull from this story. From the medical misogyny of the time, to the 'monstrous' tranformation the main character goes through.

The writing is super easy to get into; nothing too wordy or complicated. The prose made this story so hooking, and the passage of time in a diary-like structure had the same effect. Absolutely amazing. Super short story, yet so full of potential analysis.

Loved it.
