I was very surprised by this book. I got it as my First Reads book of the month, but i wasn’t sure if I would like it, since my normal genres are thriller, mystery, or paranormal. However, this book kept my attention, and even tugged a few heartstrings. I did not want to put it down.
Jo is a grad student, renting an old cabin for the summer to do some research. One night a little girl shows up saying she is from the stars. While trying to figure out what to do with little Ursa, she befriends Gabe, the bearded man who has sold her eggs many times, and it turns out lives next door. Ursa says she can return to her home in the stars after she witnesses 5 miracles, and proceeds to change Jo and Gabe’s lives in the process.
