Not what I would call the intense end of extreme horror (violence not the focus) but this addresses serious taboos and poetically describes extreme violence which may not be to everyone’s taste.
Although the reader may see where this is going, do not dnf as there’s more surprises to come with some truly original concepts; the author takes certain tries and makes them their own. This is a brilliantly written book that manages to deal with very dark matters and pulls it off completely.
This author can really write; the language in places would do Blackwood proud. Seriously impressed and would highly recommend to lovers of the macabre.
