Angel and the Cowboy by Celia Yeary

5.0

Angel and the Cowboy is a Western Romance that tugs at the heartstrings. This novella captured the essence of a young woman drowning in a sea of loneliness. Impoverished and reclusive, she felt out of place in her hometown. A retired U.S. Marshal sees her in a different light and wants to court her. But Angel's past is so different from her present that it jeopardizes her future. Can this Angel find a happily ever after?

Yeary's vivid characterization brought forth fresh energy to the classic Western. The heroine's dilemmas mattered to me, and I rooted for her throughout the story.
