I picked this up to read before I watched Mike Flanagan’s adaption on Netflix. This was definitely not what I thought it was gonna be. That is the only reason I’ve given it a low score. I was going in thinking it would be more spooky and full of ghost stories. It’s not a bad story just not what I wanted from it.
Plus, the main character was kind of annoying.
Seemed more like a love story than anything, which is not my thing.
