Stranger Things: Runaway Max
by Brenna Yovanoff
Overall, I like this book, but not as much as the Robin storyline I read previously. I like Max as a character and it gave me a little more insight into her relationship with Billy.
But it gave me more questions than answers ultimately. Why would she care about Billy? Why was Billy so gun-ho about being the asshole he was to Max? Despite his trauma, it didn't make much sense to me. I was expecting to hear that Billy did something more than what was presented in the story. I wanted to know why he said Neilwasn't his dad . I will say not enough for me to ever read a story about Billy but I wish I got it from this story.
Also, there was a point in the book that Nancy was introduced twice (honestly, 3 times but I can dismiss one of them). I'm not sure what happened there.
