I don't know what it is about these books, but it always takes me weeks and months to get through the first couple chapters and then something clicks and I end up finishing them in a day or two. I love Gerald and Damien and their interactions. It's a great world and the plots are riveting, although I would have liked a few more scenes where it slowed down and breathed a bit.

I'm getting a bit tired of all the female characters getting killed off, especially as I start to get attached to them
