The Mad King and the False Queen by Amanda Abrom, Hope Abrom
2.0

Two POVs, two stupid girls making infuriating choices. Every main character in this book lacks depth; we're reading about Kings, Princesses and assassins yet none of them seem qualified to do their job or even make any sensible decisions. That coupled with overly descriptive writing, clunky dialogue, one POV not furthering the plot at all, "plot twists" you can predict chapters in advance and an inconsistent timeline, and I really struggled to enjoy this book.
