It's Not About the Burqa by Mariam Khan

5.0

This collection of essays is incredibly powerful and does such a wonderful job of showing the incredible diversity of Muslim women, their experiences, their interpretation of the world, and more. This collection does so much to demonstrate the danger of having a single narrative to speak for a whole group of individuals. I think any reader would get something out of this book.

I will admit it took me a few essays to really get into it but once I did I was hooked.
