Saved by Love by Toni Aleo

5.0

I have been waiting for this book for months, because Evan Adler deserved his own HEA after popping up so many times in his twin brother Owen’s book. And, man, Toni Aleo did not disappoint! Within a couple chapters I could feel tears burning.

One of the reasons I love Toni’s books is because her characters are so completely real and flawed. This isn’t just beautiful people who have a bit of trauma in their lives. Her characters are dealing with debilitating anxiety. Cancer. Body dysmorphia. Depression. ADHD. Real issues we all deal with day in and day out.

Evan Adler has let his anxiety rule his life. He is so fearful of what others will think about him that he can’t move past some pretty intense walls he’s built himself. After having a panic attack in front of his boss, he has to come clean to his family…and the girl who he didn’t even know was already connected to him in so many ways. Callie Pearce, the pseudo-daughter of Nico Merryweather and Callie’s sister Aviva. Nico still harbors some really deep distrust and anger over his failed attempt at a relationship with Evan’s sister Shelli, and has never given Evan a chance.

This book was emotional but super cute, and it was just a complete joy to read. I, of course, binged it in a day because I had to get to the end. Now I’m hoping Toni will finally give Dart a book, since she’s been teasing him for so many books now!
