This is a tough one. I was definitely pulled in and intrigued the entire time, but I feel like it was too short to effectively do what it wanted to in a way that felt satisfying. The book ended how I hoped it would, but the ending was too rushed to feel good about. The MMC is so terrible and throughout I feel like his abuse towards Annie is romanticized. It was an interesting read and the FMC and world were very well thought out, but I can’t help but feel meh about it all.
