The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

5.0

I loved this book! It was so real and painful to read at times, but the themes of love and sacrifice that are central to the story make the book hopeful as well as heartbreaking. I had trouble reading most of this book because I couldn't stand Amir and he way he acted, even though I understood his reasons for it, but by the end of the novel he became a great man. I just wish I would have had a chance to read this book before we watched the movie in school!
