(June 1st, 2022) I originally DNF'ed this one a while back, but I gave it another try when I was in the mood for a classic and absolutely loved it. I finally understand why Anne and Wentworth are such a classic couple, and it was lovely to see a story of renewed love rather than new love. As usual, Austen's commentary on people is impeccable. And I would pay good money to see a study of the fathers in Austen's books. Mr. Bennet, Mr. Woodhouse, and now Sir Walter have to be some of the most ridiculous characters who are fascinating to read.

All in all, a happy continuation of my Austen reading, and I can't wait to continue diving into the rest of her collection.
