I read this fast. It pulled me in and it had some real intense reflections on how grief takes hold in the mind and the body, through a paranormal lens. Thought provoking read - don’t know if I “liked” it. Found parts of the text (particularly imagery) hard to penetrate, and found after a page or so returning back to reengage what had happened - some of these moments were confusing or the imagery was difficult to get a sense of what actually had happened or what was being perceived. Interesting read. Some observations felt forced into the horror rather than just allowing the story to be what it is - death and loss is one of the most horrific parts of life and these parts were kind of sublime, I’m not sure the paranormal elevated these observations to something more revelatory… will take a couple days to mull that thought over.
Addenda- the timeline of events felt blurry in a not satisfying way in terms of the cosmic and tech horror in amongst the reflections on grief.
