Sick in the Head: Conversations About Life and Comedy by Judd Apatow

3.0

Judd Apatow interviews comedians who are successful, smart, reflective and insightful. Some share intimate moments about their lives, and some drill down to how they learned form their failures as much as their successes. From Mike Nichols, Mel Brooks and Steve Allen to Amy Schumer and Seth Rogan to those that came in-between like Chris Rock and Jerry Seinfeld, you learn from the conversations about comedy as well as about Apatow. He started interviewing comedians when he was still in high school so the range is over a 30 year period. Why only 3 stars? It's a book about comedy and comedians but it's not funny. I laughed out loud a total of 3 times.
