The Tin Box by Dream Catcherz

3.0

Such an honour to have my hometown, Miri, Sarawak as the setting of this book. But the long house representation are wrong. Its like teachers quarters, a building, attached or detached from the main unit for the sole purpose of the housing of staff. There’s two local building illustrations; Miri Printing and Hawker’s Centre. But that KL Tower in the background is rather disturbing because obviously it’s supposed to be in KL, not Miri. One more thing, the main character are chinese and chinese doesn’t live in rumah panjang.

Despite the wrong representation of rumah panjang, the book does not failed to provide moral values in this eighth book in this warm series, and this time, it brings gratitude as the theme.

I’m starting book no. 9 soon!
