Turtles All the Way Down by John Green

emotional informative reflective medium-paced

4.0

Finished this the last day of my vacation! This book was rather quick and was probably geared towards younger readers! But as an 18 year old who has struggled with mental health and mental illness as well as some grief, this book made me think about things in a whole new light. The plot of the book, from the outside is rather simple! Missing billionaire has reward money posted and two high school teens look into it! But the man on the run makes up so little of the plot when you think about it. Turtles all the way down is an excellent book that portrays mental health in such a true and honest way I haven’t really seen before. Seeing the relationship grow and change between Aza and Daisy and Aza and Davis. It portrays so well how one’s mental health issues can affect friendships and relationships! It was a wonderful eye opener and I’d recommend it to a younger-ish  audience! John green books so far have been a 10/10 for me!
