Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness by Susannah Cahalan

challenging emotional hopeful informative inspiring reflective sad tense medium-paced

4.0

Cahalan has been through more than I could ever imagine. To go through it and then share and write her story for others to learn from and relate to is a commendable act of courage that I am grateful to have had the chance to read. I was absolutely sobbing for much of the book, which I never would have expected from a nonfiction book. I'm depressingly filled with hope after reading this (not that that makes any sense)
