Down Among the Sticks and Bones by Seanan McGuire

5.0

I absolutely adored Every Heart A Doorway. But I love this background story of Jack And Jill more

Oh My Days. This was beautiful and eerie and dark and just so much more I don't have words to describe it.

The book discusses gender stereotypes and how enforcing them on little kids leads to nothing but trouble. One of our character also deals with germophobia.

First love. Lesbian couple. Being enamoured by someone who gives you something you've always been refused. Village mob. This book has all.

The visual imagery for the moors. SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL.

And most of all the feels. This book is loaded with feels.

I NEED A STORY ABOUT KADE AND SUMI AS WELL. I CAN'T WAIT.

Edit: I forgot to mention how much I loved how periods was shown. Cause like do you ever read a book like Hunger Games and wonder what the charactets do if they get periods. This book actually showed that so YAY. NO PERIOD SHAME.
