Maybe read if you're really bored and want to read a worst Twilight. The author does not know how to write teenage girls. Every other sentence has text lingo like "AF" in the main character's (Grace) inner monologue. It does not make Grace likable in the slightest because teenage girls do not actually talk like that in real life! Also, the author overdoes it by telling us that "Jaxson is so hot" constantly. I also hate pop culture references in fantasy/fiction books, it really takes me out of the world. The author tries to foreshadow but ends up tipping their hand for most of the book even though it takes almost half the book to find out
the school is specifically for supernatural creatures
. I would say it is a "damsel in distress that needs protecting" type trope which I do not like. I had to stop reading because parts were soooo corny. The pacing was extremely slow even though the events take place within the span of like a week. Also, I felt like nothing important happened for over half the book. Ultimately, this book could have been cut in half without losing anything of substance.
