I loved the relationship between Damien and Vera in the first book of this series and was not disappointed with their book! They have always had a deep connection and it was awesome to see that it started when they were so young. Vera is highly independent and terrified to have true feelings for anyone who isn't Claire (her best friend). I don't blame her though. She lost her parents at a young age. Damien is tired of being a screw up and has worked hard to get where he is as a professional musician. I loved his energy and personality! They are both stubborn in their own way and at times, it really gets in the way. There's plenty of swoon, banter, and character growth. I loved watching these two figure out how to be together! They're so sweet and sexy!
