I don’t need wet earth rejecting him and him rising from the dead. This isn’t Practical Magic - my sister won’t come to the rescue with spells, and a sheriff won’t ride up on horseback to help me bury the truth.

Victoria Wilder is killing it with these books 😍 I think I loved this one even MORE than the first, Bourbon & Lies 🥃

Honestly, the stars of the show were both Lily & Lark - they really made this book for me. They reminded me so much of me and my sister, it was crazy (her and I are only 14 months apart) 💗 I don’t think the book would have been the same without them in it and all the mischief they got up to together.

I’m an sucker for the single dad trope, and I feel like this one did it so well 👏🏻 Lincoln is incredible and complex, especially in his grief journey and how he navigates that with his girls. Faye really reminded me of Holli Would (Cool World) in terms of overall look & vibes - I mean, look at the cover 👀💕

People always think that you get one great love of your life, but I think whatever asshat said that never considered all the different kinds of love that could show up over the course of a lifetime.

The final plot twist was so unexpected to me. This book had be choking up a lot, especially towards the end of it 🥹

I am really excited for book three, the long awaited Hadley & Ace book! Eeeeeek! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I would highly recommend this series if you’re in an Elsie Silver & Lyla Sage hangover - but with a dash of a darker vibe!
