goshie where do i start with this review without spoiling anything,,, this series has been a comfort and a spark for me when other books have failed. the world building is mesmerizing and the cast of characters are so unique and loveable. this series is so underrated and i can only hope that it one day gains in popularity so more people can fall in love with the beautiful story these authors have so gracefully spun. now onto reviewing this ~finale~. the beginning was off to a slightly rough start for i had no idea at the time why the authors had made certain choices for some characters. the plot was very very well developed with enough twists that might not have made you fall off your chair but was still very logical in the unfolding of the story (which is more important to me than shock value!). the final battle was very enthralling and i have no complaints with how everything wrapped up plot wise. that being said…. i was *slightly* disappointed at the lack of resolution when it came to the romance the readers have been invested in since day one. i find this has happened in a previous (completely unrelated) series i also really loved. there is a gradual buildup over two whole books only for us to be left with crumbs at the end?? it leaves me slightly dejected and unsatisfied :/ regardless the amazing world building and the intricate plot definitely overshadow any romantic complaints i have for the book and series in general. rating: 4.5 stars :)
