I was on a fantasy kick for a while and decided that I needed something light and easy to read to give my mind a break. This definitely did the trick and anything with a bodyguard is usually a win for me.
I liked how Piper was an avid romance reader and had a podcast, but I feel like they could have explored that a little bit more. I also liked how she was not afraid to stand up for herself and that the character’s insecurities weren’t the main focus. It more or less came down to what Harrison wanted in the end.
I gave this 3 stars because it was just an average read for me. I laughed a lot and there were definitely some cringey parts, but overall, it did what I needed it to do.
