Hawkeye: Kate Bishop - Team Spirit
by Enid Balám, Marieke Nijkamp
Kate Bishop will always be one of my favorite characters, if not my top favorite character. I like her attitude, her drive, her compassion and so many other things. This miniseries, however, had me on the fence. I don't know if it was just the art that threw me off, but it didn't feel like the Kate I knew and loved so much. She's gone through some changes over the years, most certainly, and she's still got the sass to back up her skills. But there was something missing. I think it was likely just the art that threw me off, and missing when Kelly Thompson wrote for her.
The storyline itself was okay, nothing too shocking or engaging. I enjoyed seeing Susan again, and the reunion with America and Cassie. I must've missed a few chapters, because the last I knew, Cassie was dead. I'll have to go back and re-read some older books to see if I can figure that one out.
