A Masterpiece of Grief, Love, and Healing

PS I Hate You is a beautifully written, emotionally rich novel that completely stole my heart. At its core, this is a love story—but it’s also so much more. It’s a story about grief, about losing someone and trying to live with the hollow spaces they leave behind. It’s about childhood wounds—abuse, rejection, and the quiet survival that follows—and how those early scars shape the way we love and let ourselves be loved.

Maddie, the FMC, is brilliantly crafted—her snark and sarcasm are both a shield and a form of power, and I loved every bit of her voice. And Dom… I absolutely loved him. His quietness wasn’t a flaw—it was how he moved carefully through Maddie’s world, with deep respect for her pain. His restraint, his silence, his patience—they all spoke volumes. I understood her frustration, and I understood his approach. The push and pull between them felt raw and real.

What moved me most was how both characters believed they didn’t deserve love, and yet found it in each other anyway. Their journey is unforgettable. This book will stay with me for a long, long time.
