3⭐ feels generous, tbh. But here we are.

I saw this on my Libby app and thought "oh, that looks like a cute Christmasy romcom!". Silly me. I should have telekinetically known it was actually going to be about a man who desperately needs therapy but copes with his issues with an edging kink instead. My bad.

The FMC and MMC are the children of ex-rock stars and their names are Melody and Beat because of course they are. I thought I could get past the name "Beat", but I really never did. They met once as teenagers, exchanged contact information and never spoke to each other again until 14 years later when Beat needed money to appease a blackmailer and begs Melody to do a reality show with him.

It's also the LaCroix of Christmas RomComs. There's a breath of Christmas, but not the flavor, ya know?

At the end she's all like "you cared enough to find me". No, no he didn't. He had your phone number for 14 years and didn't use it until he needed money.
