I’m so excited that Elsie Silver has anew series for me to devour. I loved the Chestnut Springs Series and am excited for more books in this series.
Characters:
I loved Ford and the “it’s always been you” vibe. I love the little gestures he did throughout the book that showed he was listening and remembering the things she liked. Having known each other since they were kids gave them a connection and I liked the flashbacks and diary entries. Rosie and Ford had great banter and I felt their connection. I liked Cora’s relationship with Rosie and how Ford stepped up and brought Cora seamlessly into the family. I love the found family troupe and this book had that. I liked the Willa cameos from her other series. I am looking forward to West’s story.
I recommend this book as well as the audio. Zachary Webber and Vanessa Edwin do a great job bringing these characters to life. If you liked other series by Elsie Silver, then I highly recommend you read this book!
