Phantasma
by Kaylie Smith
-3.5/4
-subplot was better than overall plot
-left plot holes open at the end…but not intriguing enough that I’m itching to continue series, especially since it’s focused on a different protagonist.
-pretty good writing which surprised me (although Smith had a lot of corny additions that made me eye-roll, particularly with character names like Poe, Grimm, Salem, etc.)
-I liked the games and trials aspect
-decent plot twist at the end
-I liked that the main character was flawed
-overall was missing something and didn’t feel very deep, but I did ultimately enjoy it.
