Upside Down by Danielle Steel
4.0
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
With a successful acting career, people think they know who Ardith Law is by making assumptions about her but they only know what she allows them to see. Hurt by her unfaithful husband, she keeps people at a distance including her daughter even years later after her husband's death. Ardith's current relationship is less about romance and more about being there for each other through thick and thin. A budding actor, Josh enters Ardith's life as a temporary assistant and giving all the wrong first impressions. Slowly they start to trust each other and become more in sync than they intend to be as they question what is this exactly?
Meanwhile in New York, Ardith's daughter, Morgan is a successful plastic surgeon putting her career first and not wanting to get any close personal ties with people. It's how she was brought up and what she is used to. However soon she is swept up in romance with the last person she thought she could see herself with and moves cautiously not wanting to get hurt or give into all of her feelings.
Danielle Steel does a great job on two different storylines which are still intertwined with the difficult mother daughter relationship dynamic. This book was an easy read and kept me entertained wanting to finish it to find out how it ends. I highly recommend this book.
Thank you to NetGalley and Randon House Publishing for the ARC. Also thank you to the author, Danielle Steel for the amazing writing and great read! Looking forward to reading some more of your ARC's!
