Holy shit, this was fantastic! Darkseid vs Anti-Monitor, really cool twists for Batman and Superman, the introduction of Darkseid’s half-Amazonian daughter, and deliberations on the multiverse. Good lord. Geoff Johns brings every damn thing to the table here as he brings his entire run into this penultimate chapter. Jason Fabok’s art is gorgeous, and beautifully colored by Brad Anderson. Right from the very first volume of Johns’s Justice League, it’s all been building to this, The Darkseid War, and this first part of the story is freaking epic.
