I’m genuinely sad about the let down that this book was, especially after how much I liked the second book.
But in this one I found myself disliking characters I had previously loved sm.
For example, Rafe. I liked him a lot in the first two books but in this one? He felt so controlling and overprotective of Lia. Like I get she went through a lot but that doesn’t give you control over her? She’s still her own person who can make her own decisions. Like he literally treated her like a prisoner in one chapter so she couldn’t leave? That’s crazy. After that I just did NOT want him to end up with Lia. It’s crazy that Lia recognized that Rafe was in the wrong for doing that, and was so incredibly angry at him but she wanted him so bad? Like girl, have some respect for yourself.
