i really enjoyed this novel, but the style of it was at times a struggle for me to get through & often i felt like i’d get drawn out and drawn back in during the course of my reading. however the main character is incredible & so witty and memorable, a woman living on the verge of destitution but somehow still finding the funny side of things. i hadn’t heard of this author before but now i am curious to explore more of her works.
