I was nervous about reading this book. I really enjoyed the movie (so assumed the book would be OK), but was worried about being bored having seen the movie a number of times. I was pleasantly surprised :) Although the main "feel" and characters are the same, the stories were quite different in parts from the movie. I found the book to also be more realistic in its portrayel of the main character (I always thought that he was a bit too 'pure' in the movie considering all he'd been through). So the book gets many thumbs up from me!
