I liked the main character a lot. She is a bit meek but still knows how and when to stick up for herself. The fact that Rome came in to pick up in that area is so refreshing. Also, I didn’t know it was going to be a spicy book but I loved that aspect of it. The scenes were written nicely and they weren’t overdone. There were a lot of them but it never felt misplaced, which I like. I like the conflict in this book as well, it was all very believable. Like how Dani played both sides because that happens in group friendships, or what her sister revealed about their friendship and the underlying feelings. I also like how Janelle was not quick to forgive any of the people that did her wrong. I feel like some books want the perfect ending with all the characters but there was no reason to forgive them right then and there. Also, I liked how quickly they gave into being something. Many books don’t get the balance between making tension and having them wait versus giving in because they both wanted to. They were both feeling each other, then they flirted, and then they f-ed. Not much more complicated than that. Then they figured things out along the way. The way he proposed was cute too. I like that we got to see the full conclusion of their relationship because this definitely didn’t need to be a series.
