AHHHHH This book was incredible!! Truthfully, I was worried that the plot would become predictable after the events of the first book, but I am very happy to be proven wrong!

This was the PERFECT follow up to the events of the first book. I will say the first few chapters it was hard for me to get into because I had a strong idea of where the story was going. If you know a lot about the super hero genre some of the plot will be predictable, but the second half of the book is *chefs kiss*

⚠️ Warning: SPOILERS below (just me yammering about my favorite moments) ⚠️
I loved to see the development of our characters and their story, specially Adrian. Watching his thought process change and overall self awareness was incredible. The team reveal was one of the best scenes I have read in a very long time. The way Danna’s butterflies and Ruby’s reaction and Oscar’s surprise. Then how Ruby supported him later with the note idea. Such beautiful writing!

My other favorite scene was the Jungle scene! I cannot explain how happy and awe inspiring this was. The way Meyer can makes words come alive like Adrian can his drawings is simply remarkable.

Watching Nova struggle with her ideals, but remain true was very on character for her. I loved watching her wrestle with her perspectives and question things. I cannot wait to see the big altercation that is bound to happen!

Lastly the devastation I felt when a certain character was seriously injured. I KNEW something bad was going to happen, but that twist was so well planned and executed. Now I’m off to read book three!
