Loyalty by Martina Cole
4.0
fast-paced

Dara and Grace both end up at Holly Brookes childrens home. In the face of horrific abuse they form an unbreakable bond of loyalty. But when the loyalty is tested, can they trust each other to do the right thing?

I'm not aware of how much of this book came from Jacqui Rose, but Martina did the right thing teaming up with her. I've not enjoyed the last few of Martina's books, as felt she lost her way a bit. She definitely came back with a bang with this book.

Dara and Gracie went through things that no human ever should, but stuck together right to the end. Awful to think of things like that happening in homes, when they should have been looked after. Corrupt government and police all trying to hide their sadistic and sick fantasies.

Bring in the side story of the Wakeman brothers who think they're the Kray twins. Lots of blood shed and murder going on in their lives.

This was like reading one of Martina's earlier books and she will always be one of my favourite authors.
