Wonderful message and unfortunately still very relevant to mental health statistics in Japan and elsewhere today. But the translation was ill-executed and marred a lot of the writing. The writing style was also too tell not show for my taste.
I’m glad this is a novel that resonates with those who need its important messages of connection and struggling with mental health as a teen. Disappointed that the writing style and the plotting was so middling though.
