So far, I have only read a few of these books, and I was surprised to actually enjoy them. When I started the series I thought they might be a little bizarre for my particular tastes, but I have really liked them! :-) They are sexy and funny (like, hilarious in some spots), and action packed.
The thing that cracks me up throughout the series is that the author obviously doesn't know how chain mail works. Every time she describes the characters wearing chain mail, they are ONLY wearing mail. Nothing underneath. And I'm sorry, I don't care if you are in an AU, if you wear chain mail over just your skin, that shit is gonna pinch. And possibly pull some hairs (all over hairs). No one is going to like that. And a couple of times she mentions throwing a chain mail shirt in someone's face. Ouch! This oddity makes me simultaneously laugh and cringe. The books are well written and enjoyable, but the chain mail stuff freaking kills me.
