I liked this book. Reid’s books have a clickbait quality since they focus on celebrities and their inner lives, but when I read books I am usually looking for something else, so the topic doesn’t really interest me. This book was kind of boring to me (husband after husband ughhhh) until the friendships and
gay
love stories came to be, and then I was invested in the characters (Harry). I liked that this book goes deeper into topics of race, class, queerness, gender, patriarchy, domestic abuse, etc. The author made a seemingly superficial subject much more nuanced and real, which I respect. Still though, not my favorite.
