This sweet-as-pie romance from Alexandra Hale gives us Marlee and Waylon, who have known each other since childhood. Waylon is several years older than Marlee, but you never doubt from start to finish that these two love each other deeply (and always have). Marlee is back in town, and dammit she's going to love Waylon out in the open for all the world to see!
Since loving each other isn't in question, the story is actually pretty low-angst. The conflicts are driven by family interactions, exes, and their own insecurities. I enjoyed watching Marlee put her foot down and put some of these fellas in their place. There are a lot of secondary storylines getting their foothold during this time, and I am pretty interested to see how things unfold!
It's clear Alexandra wants you to love this family, and it will make it easy to watch their stories unfold in the future.
I look forward to getting to know Hank next in Making it Country!
