sometimes you pick up a book on a whim and it consumes you— you want to read it between bites at mealtime, you stay up late to finish chapters. this is one of those books for me! 

i was so shocked to be so into this. it’s very dramatic, very intense, and very good. i never finished sierra simone’s “priest” because it was too intense for me at the time but this makes me want to get back into it. 

immediately bought the next two in the trilogy. i love when a book makes me feel so excited to be a reader again.
