And a third (or perhaps more) re-read was as always, very enjoyable. I chose it for a book group whose members said they'd never read fantasy. Several said they liked it so much they had already bought number 2.

I re-read this book, just because the series is so great. I may re-read all of it. It was fun to remember the beginnings of Harry's world. He didn't know it, but things were so simple then :)
You also see that the author is dropping hints about things that happen many books ahead -- that's exciting to see.
I read other series where it's evident (cough, LKH, cough) that the author just writes what comes into her head at any given moment with no forethought or organization.
