I jumped on the bandwagon to see what this series was about.
"Twisted Love" is a dark, spicy romance that follows Alex and Ava. Ava is a free-spirited photographer that is still trying to process her traumatic childhood. She does not entirely remember the bad things that happened to her, but that does not stop the nightmares. Alex is hellbent on seeking revenge against the man who had his entire family murdered in front of him when he was just a little boy. Alex's best friend is Ava's brother, and when he leaves for a mission trip, he asks Alex to watch over Ava.
Alex is possessive, domineering, and blinded by rage, but he has quite the soft spot for Ava. He is definitely a man riddled with red flags, but I really enjoyed reading about this complicated man in a fictious world. Ava is very much the cliched good girl who is in over her head with this experienced bad boy.
The spicy scenes were intense, but written very, very well.
This story takes a turn near the climax that I was not a fan of, and I really not did not like how it was ultimately resolved. I thought the characters had grown more than that, and I was disappointed in their behavior. Overall, this story was fine, not exactly what I wanted, but still a fun time nonetheless.
I am definitely still curious and will likely pick up more from this series in the future.
