The First Forty-Nine Stories by Ernest Hemingway

3.0

Some of the short stories in this book were amazing and deserve 4 starts. I particularly enjoyed the Nick Adams stories, as well as the Snows of Kilimanjaro. However, I'm usually not much of a fan of books with selections of short stories because just when I get into a character and his or her life, I get torn from them, and have to move on to another. This frustration rings particularly true when I read short stories by Hemingway.
Nevertheless, I'm really glad I read the book, even though it took me a very long time.
