Better Than Fiction: True Travel Tales from Great Fiction Writers by Alexander McCall Smith, Lonely Planet, Don George
3.0
I read this and the follow-up "Better Than Fiction 2" out of order. I liked the second one a lot more. This is still not bad, though.
There were two items that seemed surprising, where the story recounted didn't put the author in a particularly good light. In one the author was trying to make a point, but in the other, I don't think the person really understood the consequences of her actions for the local person. Odd.
