I listened on audiobook at 1.5x speed and it still felt very slow to me. However, I eventually found myself much more connected to the characters and enjoyed the final chapters. I’m not sure if I’ll continue the quartet, but this was a good break and slowed down pace from my usual fantasy novels I read.
